Came to US in 2000 Labor filed 2002 Jan 31st in EB-3........took 4 yrs to clear labor from Dallas backlog center...I-140 approved in 2007 and filed I-485....
Still counting days...........gave up actually....USCIS will probably start VIBYORG instead of
VIBGYOR
First :Violet card
Second: Indigo card
Third: Blue card
Fourth: Yellow card

Hi Pappu and IV seniors,
I will contribute to IV generously(monetory and otherwise) if you help us with the prefiling of EAD for approved 140's, atleast USCIS will get money from us every year and it helps us too.
We dont mind standing last in the queue for another 10 years as long as we have EAD.

I think more than 90% of companies in service industries have more than 50% emps in H1/L1. The fees may be indirectly passed to the employees in terms of cut in salary or cut in profit sharing.

I just registered for IV. I wish I could come to DC rally on 18th. But due to certain unavoidable circumstances I may not be able too. Though not an excuse But I feel very guilty about it and this guilt will always remain there that I was not part of rally on 18th. This is good news all around. It gives EB2 I an obvious benefit. However EB3 can take consolation in knowing that all EB2 is closer to C, and then spillover can start. Obviously EB3 ROW will get the spillover first, but then it will be EB3I. A visa recapture would be so great now.
Now perhaps RD matters if you are EB2 I.
This is just a hunch, however I think you will see a rash of EB2 India approval in the coming couple of months. I have seen a lot of LUDs and RFEs and the like on EB2I cased over the past month or two, and a lot of this seems as if they were pre-adjudicating, while in discussions to move the dates with the state dept.
A few lucky people from the July filers will get their green cards from this, but most may have to wait a while. They have not processed many of them.

I applied AP in Jan 4th 2008. Last week on 13th there was a LUD on AP. Today the status changed to "Document Mailed to applicant". Based on your experiences does this means RFE or Approval. BTW i belong to Nebraska Service Center.

I believe that means the AP is on it's way. And you had a superfast turnaround time! I applied for AP on November 6'th, and my status changed to "Document Mailed to applicant" on March 17'th. Nebraska certainly seems to have a sort of LIFO policy rather than FIFO.
I still haven't received my documents either. I will wait a few more days before bugging my lawyer.

So EBI reaching 2008 is almost certainly a zero possibility unless there are some legislative changes. There are simply too many pending cases from 2005, 2006.
Well, bad economy and less number of PERM applications in 2009 are very relevant to EB2I movement. Note that EB2I gets only around 3200 visa numbers every year in its quota but the number of spillover visas it gets from ROW has been around 12K-15K in past years. The visa spillover depends on how many visa numbers are left in ROW category. Less number of PERM applications in 2009 means less number of ROW cases filing 140+485 and thus less number of visa applications requested. Since, ROW is current, 140+485 can be filed as soon as the PERM is approved. PERM applications from ROW applicants filed in 2009 and early FY2010 will be able to move to 140+485 stage in FY2010.

You need to chill out dude. I do not see anything wrong. Whats wrong in analyzing and preparing yourself for future. I have plans to travel in 3 months.After looking at this thread I think it might take few more months. I think this is a valuable thread.
Preparing for future is one thing but if you think that this is a valuable thread then go with it and enjoy, i just find it disheartening that people are trying to undermine whatever has been achieved by such threads (Like i said, he might be completely right but is there a need to tell it this way) and what are you going to prepare for the future ;) Do you know it ? (If you do, please keep it to yourself and enjoy or cry about it). Right now, i want to be positive and enjoy the fruits of what IV has done to get some relief, why use negative logic to undermine it and that is what i am saying. Leave us alone, who like IV and who want to have a moment's respite. Chill out dude, no offence meant and this my only response, will not reply if you attack me, so cool off.
