Employment-based categories are as follows: EB-1 remains current for all countries; EB-2 remains current, except for India and China which are at May 2006; EB-3 is at Dec. 2004 for all countries, except for India (Jan. 2002), China (Oct. 2003), and Mexico (currently unavailable); EB-3 other workers is at March 2003 for all countries, except India (Jan. 2002)and Mexico (currently unavailable); EB-4, religious workers, EB-5, and targeted employment areas and regional centers are all current. Family based petitions are backlogged, with the most recent date at Jan. 2010.

I am right now on L1A visa recently filed for extension and still in processing.
I am planning to get married to my girlfriend here and apply for greencard.
Would appreciate information on how to proceed with that and wheather the L1 extension would affect it in anyway.

Above there is "User CP" link. You can read the comments. But you dont know who gave the rating. Dont worry about red and greens. They are good for nothing unless u want to get dipressed/puffed-up by seeing reds/greens.

Hi,
When I entered USA on L2 dependent spouse visa,my passport was expiring on 15 Sept 2008 and hence my I-94 got departure date as 15 sept 2008. After that i applied for an L2-EAD with the old passport and I-94 (both having expiry date as 15-sept-08)and hence i got the L2-EAD which also expires on 14-sept 2008.
Now I have renwed my passport which is valid upto 2018 and want my EAD to be renewed.
Can someone tell me L2 EAD expiry date depends on I-94 records or does it depend on my spouses L1 or on my new passport expiry date...or may be out of all these which ever expires first....??

I am currently waiting on my 485 (EB2). My priority date is Sept 16 2005, and 485 date is Aug 27 2007. I have traveled out of the country and back on advance parole and am still on H1 as I am still with the same company. My current advance parole ends in Jan 31 2010. I have to travel again in the first week of Feb 2010. I applied for another advance parole at the TSC on Aug 31 2009 for both my Wife and I. My Wife got her parole in a week, but I am yet to receive it.
I checked the USCIS site for the time frame and it says 3 months for TSC. I am thinking I might not have received it yet as I have a parole which is active. But I want to make the travel reservations now and I wanted a confirmed parole. USCIS said that they could put in an expedited request for the parole if it is an emergency. My lawyer says not to worry as I had applied in August, I had plenty of time to receive it.
Please advice. What should I do.

I know that this is not a "Green card related" question but an important question that I hope someone will answer. I am planning to use EAD after my I140 approval and jump to consulting business. I have thought about Self-employment but it sounds like it is risky. Are there any good consulting companies which charge very less percentage for having me as an employee on EAD. I hope that company can send AC21 and continue my GC processing.

Guys, My appeal "I290B" for a denied I140 under EB3 category was submitted on March 5th 2008 to TEXAS service center AAO.
I have 2 questions in tracking the application
1) Are all I290B's processed initially where I140 is denied and then later sent to DC office, or completely processed by TSC.
2) If the applications are sent to DC after review by TSC. how long does TSC take to review the application before forwarding to DC and how long will DC require to process the application to close the case (I know total is 14 months for EB3)

No. You must already have 485 pending, or you should be applying 765 along with your 485 concurrently. However to apply for 485, your PD must be current.
I got my labor and 140 cleared few months back under EB3, Can I apply for 765 to get my EAD ?
I have not applied for 485.
Please let me know.

My 485 is under processesing with a priority date of March 2006.
I was browsing through the instructions to e-file my I-131 (Travel document) and found this interesting point and was a little confused.
This is from USCIS website
You are not eligible to electronically file this form if:
You have a pending I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence Status or Adjust Status currently at a USCIS office and you are eligible to file the I-131 for no additional fee.
Does this mean we can no longer file for I-131 online...? I did this last year and didnot have any issue's. Any thoughts/opinions/experiences are highly appreciated. Thanks

I am wondering what happens if I buy some real estate property ( a condo unit) while I am on H1B, and if i moved out of country, (H1B - 6Yrs completed) do i need to sell the property (condo) before i leave country? Can i rent this unit while i am away from country? On a new H1B can i come and stay in that home? Anybody experienced this case before? Please give me details as much as possible. Thanks.
