I agree with you. One of my friends got RFE regarding Birth Ceritificates and medical certificates. I would not be surprised if they ask me the same.
So, how did you submit the Birth certificate then? Can you please share the experience?
My brother managed to get one for me. the issue was that my BC had wrong date and first name (my uncle had reported my birth with that name which was never used again). My brother talked to the officials, gave affidavits, chai-paani etc and they agreed to correct date and put both first names with a slash(/) in between. phew ...what an experience dealing with the Indian beauraucrats.

I got a email notification from my attorney just now that my I-140 is approved with priority date ported from EB3. Not sure whether I should wait few weeks before initiating interfiling process.

What if you spend 3-4 K in the new GC process, and after writing these letters USCIS wakes up and release statistics that they have 2000 EB-3 I pending for 2002/2003 and 1000 for 2004 will you still go ahead ? I guess for us the most important thing is to know how many cases are really pending. As I am not filing a new EB-2 and what if there are 15K cases in 2002/2003 and 50K in 2004, I'll be sitting here all my life looking at Visa bulletins :o

Please leave a comment on this thread, after you have mailed the letter & Form. It will motivate others to do the same. If you really want some justice, stand up and get counted by participating in this campaign. Else, Julu-Aug 07 filers, will keep waiting and will have to go through frustrating and agonizing wait for an uncertain period.

My guess is that we have discussed enough about the bill. Next in the line is the dream act for children of undocumented immigrants. Do we want to have a campaign to add children of legal immigrants to the bill or we want to only discuss the implications about the act, once it is passed by house and senate.

Good they have seem to have read recently published IV analysis and recommendations and provided a much more detailed bulletin this month for the community.
agreed. kudos to IV core to push for more detailed explanations without which proposals for fixing this backlog also becomes difficult.

My company HR received a letter from PBEC questioning the existence of our company. This is another step in the bureaucratic ladder of PBEC. First the 45-day letter to signal the intent to continue the petition, then proof of company. I wonder how PBEC thinks the LCA made it all the way to federal without anybody verifying the employer details. HR manager sent the company charter to PBEC to prove the company exists. So the wait goes on ...

America does not need to do anything to get more workers. People will keep coming and it will always be a positive flow of good talent into America. The only Indians (and others) who might tell you that they do not want to come to the USA and the American dream is gone, etc., are talking bull and they know it. Why there are no takers for german green card? Or why do people apply for HSMP in more numbers than any other european country. Because atleast on the face of it, that promises a long term path. How many people will want to jump on the plane if America says there will be no green cards, how many people will be attracted to it? America wants to have it both ways, they want people here but do not want to give GCs either.
I graduated from a good college in India. My classmates are divided 50-50 in US and India. The people who are putting up here either did very well and were toppers or failures. All others stayed in India and they will come here only if there is a long term benefit to come here.

Hello, I have been through the same situation for past 2 years. Just carry your receipt for extension to the local MVC and they will give you 3-month extension on your licence. During that course, your actual extension should arrive upon which you will have to renew your licence. It's better to spend $24 for licence renewal that spending $1000 for premium processing.
My H1 extension is under process. I had applied in Dec 2006. My DL expires on May 6. Is it possible to renew my license with the H1 extension receipt?. Is it possible to do Premium Processing now?

Not sure if anyone else has faced this so wanted to put this out: I own a home and have a loan on it since 2003 (I was on H1 when i took the loan), now that the ARM is about to adjust i am in the market for refinance.
There is however a question on all the loans underwritten by freddy/fanny asking for immigration status and if the answer is EAD the loan is denied. They even sent me an explanation of denial.....:confused:
Obama is ready to give out a home loan to a drug dealer on the street but a hardworking,tax paying , wealth creator skilled immigrant won't get it.
So this is a new feature of Obama Nation:mad:
Liberals shame on you for electing this inexperienced socialist communist to the white house.
